Hiding the hurt with a smile.
The Pain Under Your Smile

The burdens, the heartaches, the worries, the troubles.
Burried deep, miles beneath all the smiles, and the cuddles.
Secrects of a hurt, so deep, so dark, you get lost.
In an abyss of misfortunes, dispair, and of loss.
Be sure that, you tell all your loved ones you love them.
Don't let the time slip, where, you'll wish that you hugged them.
You don't want to regret, not speaking your feelings.
The loss, of a family member, requires lots of healing.
I lost my grandfather, not to long ago.
My feelings, I regret not letting him know.
I often wonder, does he know that I loved him.
I hurt, when I think of how little I hugged him.
He was more than a granfather, a hero to me.
He helped build our shed, and would do anything.
If you ever needed help, he was always there to lend a hand.
My granfather, my friend, what a wonderful man.
He was proud of the war (WWII), he answered his call.
His name, is engraved on a monuments wall.
He was a hero to others, not just to me.
In Belgium, he was looked at as if royalty.
At Birthdays, he was eating your cake, before you blew out your candles.
Saving an old blue recliner with a "modified" handle.
He lived his life to the fullest, and loved living life.
He left behind, 4 grandchildren, 2 kids, and a wife.
Grandpop, your a legend, a hero, a friend.
Your missed dearly, but clearly with honorable men.
I still walk with a smile, even though some pain is present.
Others hurts are much worse, when they smile there pretending.
