The poem says it all, really... |
Your image echoes through my head back and forth, hitting only itself. Thought after thought explodes into life before my eyes in floods of colour like fireworks illuminating dark corners of mind discovering parts of my emotions I could not hope to know before you flourished into my life. Your taste bellows your name from my lips spreading, covering my body in your scent, Lips yearning for just one more kiss lungs aching, needing the life only you can breathe into me, craving the sunlight only you can bring. A word from you can bring me to my knees, A look renders me speechless, the beauty of your eyes making life worth the pain. Without you I am useless, a lock with no key, your life grants me validity and makes my toils fruitful. You make me who I am. Music Tries and Fails To catch your beauty. The beauty of a look that can take your desire for life. The sunlight shines for you. But clouds follow me, hovering over me like dark vultures. They whisper. I am not worthy. You expect me to doubt, to falter, I fold, and obey, your expectations cutting deeply, and carving a deep gash into my heart. I silently step from the spotlight Leaving you alone. As my heart surrenders, it knows my blood is worthless without yours, My soul sits heavily on your shoulders, as my body lies struggling to breathe at your feet. As my heart surrenders, it knows my blood is worthless without yours, I am yours. You are my messiah. |
