He sat alone,
Sipping from his glass,
Warming his throat.
He looked at the clock,
Half past twelve,
He'd been there for over two hours.
Finally he put down his glass,
Walked up the stairs,
And spread out on his bed.
He was still alone,
No-one beside him,
No-one to kiss goodnight.
He woke in the same way he always does,
Even though today was a special time,
Well special for most families.
He dressed,
Then made breakfast,
And switched on the televison.
The carols being sung,
Made him feel sad,
He had no-one to listen to them with.
He had no presents to open,
No Christmas meal to eat along side his family,
And no-one to have a nice day with.
Christmas for him,
Was like a normal day,
Miserable and cold.
I'm sure your Christmas is not like this, so remember what you have and that you are lucky. And if your Christmas is like this, I'm sure one day, you will find that person, or those people to share the day with.
