Mist on the window

mist on the window
of morning,
following the dawn of time,
the beginning of life,
or ending?
some awaken,
first breathing,
first crying,
while some breathe deep
and last,
and slowly fade away.
mist on the window of mourning
speaks to my soul
as i sing my farewell to departing souls.
