Written when misjudged
It is all about perception, thinking without deception,
Looking through the eyes of love, understanding as God above,
For if I see you as an equal and you see me in reverse,
We communicate on a level we don't have to rehearse.

Then what I see in you, you will see it too,
And what you see in me, you are also free to be,
But if I appear exalted, to be looking down on you,
You will only feel belittled, if you believe it to be true.

If you have accepted such a lie, I really would not know,
Without some explanation, that you were feeling so,
Because I myself still believe, I am equal in your sight,
I could not know you're thinking wrong, nor think that I'm not right.

Its all about believing that what God has said is true,
That we are all the same to Him and every one like you,
Precious, redeemed, forgiven, strong, loved and free,
Created in His image, equal in our destiny.

Black, white, blind, rich or poor, just like you or me,
Our past differences forgotten, if you could only see,
That God is looking down on us, whilst His Spirit is so close,
To lead us to salvation of His only Son, He chose.

To have us seated next to Him in a heavenly place,
Talking one on one in the garden of His Grace,
So if you feel a difference that maybe brings division,
Simply ask our Father to clarify your vision.

Climb into His lap of love, see all through His eyes,
Listen to His heartbeat, then you may realise,
That you too may feel exalted and wonder if its true,
But take it from your family, we are looking straight at you!

Yours in Him
