Dedicated to my U.S. Army Son - The Most Important Person in My Life!
Last night I had a dream, I saw you standing there,
Looking oh so handsome, in that uniform you wear.
Over in the war zone, in the middle of Iraq,
Where you and all your buddies, have each other's back.

In this dream I had to know, were you on enemy lines,
I knew I had to get to you, to make sure you were fine.
I was running thru' the rubble, where death lay all around,
Calling out for you to answer me, when then I heard a sound.
It started out a whisper, but I knew it was your voice,
Fear and panic subsided in me, when I knew I had no choice.
Whatever the cost, to hell and back, I would find my way,
To get to where you were, with my own life I would pay.

I searched, but could not find you, blinded by my tears,
Falling on my hands and knees, I prayed for God to hear.
I raised my head and cried out loud, "Oh Please, Dear LORD Above,
I Need You Now, In JESUS Name, Help Find The One I Love!"
Then all at once, my eyes were clear, and I could see your face,
Standing there with arms out-stretched, your smile so full of grace.
When I stood up, I could not move, for what I saw just then,
All around you was a glow, and behind you I saw him.

There was an angel by your side, his wings wrapped all around you,
You said, "Hey Mom, I'll be OK, and I'll be home real soon."
The angel smiled and so did you, and in my heart I knew,
What started out a nightmare, had been a dream come true!
