the fate of 4 demon races lays on the shoulder of one vampire
Chapter 1

When class was over my teacher said "Good night, good night, parting be such sweet sorrow."
That day, without thinking, I replied "So I shall say night till it be marrow"
This wouldn't surprise my class. I said random things like that all the time. Later when my friend said her grandmother had died, and wondered if she would meet her after she died.
I said" And the raven cried nevermore".
I was hit so hard you could hear the bone snap! There was blood all over me. Certain thoughts ran though my head like for the first time in 4000 years that I was stuck in a world of hate and dislike. I was the only of my kind that could kill her now for she drew my blood. I spat on her feet before she was dragged away by the police. A few moments later I was dragged away by the hospital workers. Then I was lost in a pool of darkness. When I woke pain laced itself all over my right shoulder. I the greatest vampire was unable to move; well it must happen to us all right. Wrong. Emotions are a pain.

"We aren't mooning over Cira now are we? Should I kill her for you?" A voice in my head said.
"You can't. She drew my blood." I said, " besides I think you're jealous, Fela."
"Hold on, be there in a second." Fela replied.
There she stood in the hospital. A look of terror spread across her face.
"Holy cow what happened to you!!?” Fela cried.
So, I repeated the tale. Her look of terror turned into a look of understanding.
"What!!" I yelled.
"Ssshhhhh! they'll come in here. Can't you fix it?" Fela asked.
"No or I would have already gotten the heck out of here!!" I yelled once more.
"Please be quiet, humans would freak if they saw you talking to a vampire!!" She said, “Besides it's not like someone wouldn't notice that she drew blood, I mean you're still covered in it."
“Oh thanks a lot" I said, " But she isn't human either. A normal human wouldn't be that strong."
“Oh, what do you mean?" a voice said in the doorway. “And what do you mean ‘either’, huh?"
I turned my head ignoring the pain the best I could. There was the one and only Cira.
“Are you going to answer me, or... Holy crud where is your guys reflections?!!!!” Cira said looking alarmed.
“Did I lose it when you punched me and you're returning it? I said than added, “Wait a minute there's a mirror in here?”
“Umm, behind you, genius," Fela said quietly.
Hmm that might be a problem. Oh well, it's not mine then.
“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. You're vampires. Well are you the ones that killed my grandmother," Cira cried. “I know that a vampire killed her, even thought the police don’t believe me.”
I was busy trying to look innocent. But the pain grew to be too much. I gasped because I couldn't bear the pain. I'm the one that killed her grandmother, but why let her know. Since no one answered her she picked me up by the collar and starts yelling.
"If ya want answers put me down" I whispered.
She didn't believe me.
“You’re the last one I'd listen to, bubby," she said.
“O.K., fine how about this. Put me down or I'll bite you."
That worked perfectly.
"O.k., tell us what you are and I'll tell who got your grandma" Fela said.
“Sorry tuts, I'm talking to Alex here." Cira replied.
“I’m a vampire too. One word from Krex and I'll snap your neck." Fela answered just as sassy.
“And is this Krex a vampire too." Cira asked.
“Yes I am." I said.
“Whoa, you're Alex. Did I scramble your brain as well as your arm?" Cira stated.
“No, Alex is a false name. Krex has been my real name for the last 4000 years" I answered, “Now how bout those answers?”
“Well I'm not sure what I am, I started to get these weird feelings. Like when other people punch it just bruises. No I almost kill them in one blow." Cira said quietly, “But why do you want to know?"
“My turn, if I tell you, you have to promise not to kill him. He's the best vampire we’ve got." Fela said.
“Sure, yeah, whatever," Cira replied.
“Krex," Fela said.
“Well Alex, she wants you tell me." Cira said.
“No, he did it." Fela explained, “You asked."
“You did what?!" Cira screamed.
“No killing him, remember," Fela smirked.
“Forget that. I’ll get him with my bare hands before winter passes over.” Cira said.
Cira was pretty annoying for someone so beautiful. I thought that Fela was really jealous that I liked Cira more than her. I’ll just tap into Fela’s powers…
Oh no you won’t, Fela replied after reading my thoughts.
Why not just fix my arm so we can leave? I thought back.
Because I think you should spend time with her. Besides she doesn’t trust me, so you could get more info. Then we fix your arm. Fela replied.
“Fine goodbye Fela” I sighed.
“What did you guys have a conversation that I missed” Cira asked.
“Yes, but you could not have missed it if you are what I think” Fela said, “Goodbye Krex… and friend”
“Well then what am I and then make it go away, since you know.” Cira screamed.
“Can’t if you are, the only way would be to…” Fela replied trailing off.
“Fela stop antagonizing Cira and leave. Cira you stop tormenting yourself.” I said to avoid a fight.
But nobody listens to me without my threats. So when they didn’t listen, I screamed “Do it or I’ll get both of you in the room next to me. Do you understand me?”
Both the girls stared at me because of my issues record. Usually I do carry out my threats. So, they stop going at each others throat for about two minutes, just like a cat fight. When they started up again, then I stood up and threw Fela across the room, luckily she shimmered before impact.
“I’ll be good.” Cira said her eyes wide with terror.
“I thought so,” I said, “Alright Fela I know you’re listening, come back or I’ll bring you back.”
Of course she shimmered back real quickly so the threat wouldn’t happen. She looked pretty scared for someone who for the first time almost got in a fight. Fela’s fear smelled real good.
“Alright, tell her what she is, so you can leave in one piece.” I said.
“She is a vampire offspring, half human half vampire. So she has our strength, cloaking ability, and the ability to change her appearance at will, you know that sort of stuff. But these will come over the period of time. She also is part human so it will be harder to grasp her powers; she is, unless she doesn’t accept it, the most powerful of all vampires. The last vampire offspring took over the vampires 4100 years ago. Her name was Jazlyn, she was pure evil. Krex came from the vampire who over took her. In many ways he is king of vampires. There are two stronger than him, but they are way older.” Fela said, “This also means that anyone can hunt her, whether she drew blood or not. Krex, she is the only one who can kill you though… watch your back and call if she attacks. Cira, I still hate you, but if you lay a hand on him, so help me you die will at my hands. Consider yourself warned.”
And with that she left. Just then the doctor walked through the door.

Chapter 2

“Ma’ma, sorry but you’ll have to leave, now,” the nurse said, “Doc, is everything o.k. on the chart?”
“Yes but a little confusing, if you will escort this young lady out. I would like to talk to… Alex, alone.” said the doctor. After the nurse and Cira left he asked “Alex according to this chart you were born over a thousand years ago and that you died already. So what is your real name so I can get your file, sir?”
“You know too much, you must die.” I said standing up, showing my fangs.
“Holy, what the heck are you,” he cried.
“Since you’re about to die…” I replied calmly.
Calm down it will all be over soon, you are nothing compared to Krex … calm down, hold still.
As my fangs pierced his skin Fela shimmered in. She looked terrible, “Sorry didn’t know you were eating. Can I have a bite?” Fela asked excited.
When I snarled, she backed up and waited quietly for me to finish. She looked really pathetic, so I tossed it over to her.
“Thanks, I didn’t think doctor tasted so good.” She said. “Is the black gone?”
“Yes Cira’s gone. Shall we leave, after I sign?” I asked.
“But of course. Oh by the way the council wants you to stop masking your self from them. That’s why I look bad, if you want to send a reply, ask if they would leave me alone?” Fela asked pleading with her eyes.
“Sure, tell them that and do they dare challenge me.” I responded with a sigh. The council wouldn’t leave me alone since I agreed to get rid of Cira, except I didn’t now than. “Tell them I’m going to change my plans, I’m teaching instead of killing.”
“They’ll kill me if I say that-wait you’re going to teach Cira, um, hello asking for a death wish are we?” Fela said, rolling her eyes.
“No they would not challenge me, they would loose anyway, so why try. Besides if they attacked me there would be no hope for our kind.” I replied, “What do you want to do, join them or stay a friend.
“I’ll get back to you on that, right?” Fela said with a worried look across her face. “Oh yeah I’m not to tell you, but they’re teaching Cira when they gain her trust.”
“Why should I care?” I said not believing what she said.
“You should care because they’re going to convince her that you are evil and get her to learn how kill to kill you. If I were you I would go to the one who changed me.” Fela said though she knew she was treading on thin ice. “After all, he would know what to do now… plus you need a reunion.”
“I do not need his help, after all things aren’t what they seem…” I didn’t want to tell her why, so I left her there.
As I walked out of the room, Fela cried “The reason you don’t talk to him is because that you think he will challenge you and you won’t make it out this time.
“That happened many years ago” I said then shimmered.
Shimmering isn’t the ideal way to leave if you’re in hiding, especially if it’s a powerful vampire.
~~~~
Later that evening, I sat at the base of the tree I was changed by, thinking. The day I was changed wasn’t one I want to remember. I was changed on a pact between my mother and him. My mother when she was about to become a mother, was ambushed by him. She had cried out to him that she would give him her son if he spared her life, so he thought a moment when he was about to say no, my unborn aura had attacked him and he realized that if changed I would be the most powerful of all. So eagerly, he said he would hold her to that, and when I turned sixteen I would his.
Many years passed and he returned, this time to change me. As I cried out in pain my mother came to see what was happening, she took one look at him then turned to me; her final words were was that she was sorry. Then I died.
“Thinking huh” a voice next to me said, “Sorry I know that I shouldn’t listen to your thoughts.”
Spinning around, I get grabbed her by the throat, with a ball of flames in my hand, “You also know it’s rude to walk up behind me. What if you were him, I would have attacked without a thought. What do you want, Fela?” I said as I released her.
“Sorry didn’t mean to frighten you and you did attack. I’m here because the council is will to negotiate with you on what do with her. By the way, is that why you don’t to talk about him?” Fela asked softly.
“Yes, it is. You can tell the council to give up but I’m not coming out of hiding, but if they thought carefully they would know where to find me.
“I’ll give them the message later, but first I want to talk to you. What happened to you, in your memories you seemed to be a happy teenager? But now you’re a depressed, hiding vampire, why? And back at the hospital what did you mean by what you and he did were different? What did you do?
“Yes I was a happy teen as you put it, but that part of me died years ago. Maybe someday I’ll tell you the story but not now.” I said before standing up. “But what he did and what I did are different things. I did something worse then imaginable.” As I stood up something didn’t feel right, then my legs collapsed and knew he was some where close by.
“Are you o.k. Krex, you’re not looking well, Krex are you listening, Krex?!” Fela started to panic. “Krex nod if you can hear, I’m going to take you to the council they might know what’s wrong. Well let’s go!”
“No, Fela, I need you to run, but leave me. He’s here.” I said with what little breath I could draw. “He’s here for me.”
“Krex I’m not leaving you to face him alone. Let’s go, I can’t shimmer us both so try to help.” Fela said trying to be brave.
A shadow fell behind Fela, “Poor Fela can’t even shimmer you both, what a pity. Tell me girl if you value his life so much, tell me why is it important to take him to something he’s hiding from or not to leave him with me alone, hmm? Won’t talk, then I’ll make you and then your friend can’t be fixed by the council before it’s too late. Krex can’t save you; after all he couldn’t save himself.” He said all too gleefully. “So he won’t save you.”
“Leave her alone!” I said once I managed to stand up to face him.
“Oh, look now you can stand in my presence, how irritating.” He said.
“I said let her go. It’s me you want so here I am, but what a waste to get rid of her.” I stuttered through clenched teeth.
“Can you stand and fight, I wonder. Well only one way to find out.” He started to taunt. All of the sudden the surrounding area went black. Power from his aura was shooting out at me, from all sides, threaten to overwhelm me.
“Krex where are you?! Krex say something!” Fela was screaming off to the side.
“Fela go to the council them I’m gone!” I yelled back. As I was about to add something else, he grabbed at my throat. “Fela hurry and tell the council that-.”
“Tell them what, Krex!? Tell them what?” Fela cried to the clearing smoke. “You’re gone.”
Chapter 3
When I woke, I half expected to back the hospital. Instead I was in a familiar dim lit cave.
“Great you’re a wake. Tell me boy what did you think going into hiding would do?” he demanded as he grabbed my head and yanked it back.
“I thought-,” I coughed, so much for being able to speak and breathe.
“Hmm, fine I’ll lift the tracker a little, but just enough to breathe and tell what I want!” He said clearly annoyed “Now tell me what hiding would do for you?”
“I hid because I had had it with you, you were torturing me, and hiding helped because it took you longer to find me and the council wasn’t breathing down my neck. I was free for the time. I, also, left, because you kept bringing up my past and other crap. I made a fine vampire servant until I learned about free will. The council recently asked me to teach the vampire offspring, so she doesn’t destroy us all.” I managed to say.
“Is that why your arm looks terrible? You tried to talk to her, huh?” he looked interested. “Maybe I’ll fix it so you can get yourself ripped apart, bit by bit. Well since your mother traded you for her life, what you do and what you say should be monitored by me. I’ll fix you arm in a moment, anything else?”
“What if the council gets me because I don’t have the energy to hide my aura,” I asked.
“Well they never found this place before, now have they?” He said with a cruel smile.
“They never had a real reason before either.” I pointed out.
“You may have a point there.” He said after a little thought, “But right now I’m fixing your arm, so hold still.”
Once or twice I cried out in pain. I was hoping that Fela would understand what I said and fast. Then the pain slowly ebbed away. But I also lost conscience.
When I woke again, the pain came back this time worse then before. I managed to lift my head to see where I was. There was nothing familiar about it.
Chapter 4
When I tried to sit up to gather my surroundings, I couldn’t move.
“Krex you’re awake. Good.” A soft voice called out.
“How did you find me, where am I, and why can’t I move?” I said trying to bear the pain.
“Fela came by yesterday, panicked because she could not sense you. According to her, all that she sensed was your fear. That seemed to scare her even more. We had to smack her with a pan to make her pass out, but the thoughts weren’t any clearer. All we got was the reply she didn’t send about thinking hard.” The voice said to assure me, “You can’t move because of where you are. Which brings us to this; you are in the council healing chamber. That break in your arm, how did you get it?”
“I got it from being where I was.” Then the pain intensified,” All right I got it from talking to the vampire offspring and being a jerk. Are you happy now?”
“Yes, but you seem to know that what you was wrong. But do you realize that Lucifer didn’t fix your arm, he added another tracker. Do you want it removed? It’ll take a lot of the strength that you have left and a lot of time.” The voice said after a few moments.
“No, forget me. Some one needs to stalk Cira for a while, he’s after her.” I replied. I finally managed to turn my head to see the speaker, she was tall, blond hair, blues eyes, and she was wearing a floor length black dress with a diamond necklace. “Why help me? You know what I did don’t you?” I demanded though the pain.
“Yes I know what happened, but I help because I must. The others do not think you will not save us, but I do. You’re our last hope before we resort to getting Cira. I could get in lots of trouble for fixing your arm; I’m only supposed to get rid of the tracker. You are here to help train her to battle.” She said sadly, “But this is not time or the place to train. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Fela is coming in now that you’re a wake.”
“Can I sit up or will that get me yelled at?” I asked.
The woman smiled and the pressure released.
“Krex, are you o.k.? Krex talk to me! Krex you must talk to the council tomorrow. It’s about Cira.” Fela came running in.
“Let me guess they want to ask me to train her. Tell them I’m not a teacher.” I said.
“Yes that’s what they want you here for. How did you know Krex? Oh well that’s not important.” She said as she hugged me. “But what important is that you’re safe. What happened there, in the field? Was that man in your thoughts?”
“Yes.” I answered. “I would rather not talk about that. Are you o.k. though?”
“I’m fine, little shaken, but fine. You said that you would tell me.” Fela said through tears.
“Yes I did, but not now. Not now, maybe after the meeting.” I said, “Fela what's wrong?”
“I was worried and you won’t even tell me happened. I don’t want to know about your past; just happened in the field because you paled, and feared something. Please tell me! I have a right to know.” She said brushing back the tears streaming down her face.
“Later today, I promise. Meet me at the gate, out front.” I said lowering my voice, “Around 9, o.k.”
~~~~

Fela was there at the gate on time. I, however, had a minor setback. The nurse woman wouldn’t leave. When she finally left she locked all the doors.
“Locks?” Fela asked with a smile.
“Yeah, I have to make it quick. Can you get us over to that tree? We’ll talk there.” I said.
“Can you help? I still can’t shimmer us both. Why are we talking there?” Fela asked.
“It’s because we’re looking for something as well. I have the energy to shimmer myself. What I need before we go is if I say something, do it.’
“All right,” Fela said confused.
After a few moments we stood at the base of the tree. Fela shivered, but only friendship made her stay. “What are we looking for?”
“We’re looking for a small silver tube. Look carefully. I’ll tell you what it is when we find.” I answered, “I want to make sure I’m right, first.”
“All right, let’s go.” Fela said.
We searched for hours. It was almost 3 a clock when Fela whispered “I’ve got something!”, and pulled up a small, silver, and bullet size tube. “This is it?”
“Yes it is. I’m going to search it, and come back tomorrow. I should be ready. But you need to be ready too.” I explained a little more of my plan.
“I don’t understand.” Fela said.
“It’s better than knowing it all and being captured by him. Anyway we need to get back to there. I’ll do it.” I explained more.
Just as the council healer was about to walk through the door, we shimmered in. “Oh finally you’re back! Thank goodness.” She cried. “Quick Krex, get changed and go down to the council room. Fela look like you’ve been running errands. Hurry, the head of council is coming to get Krex in a moment.”
“How do you know what we were doing? Never mind I don’t want to know?” Fela said.
“I do. You will be answering my questions later today,” I said after getting dressed. “When he’s arriving here?”
“NOW, Krex are you ready?” said a booming voice that belonged to a six foot tall muscular vampire which broke the door. “Sorry about that ma’ma, I’ll fix it.”
“Hmm, that’s nice and all but where is the council room?!” I said loudly. I was all ready losing my temper, nice day so far.
The man indicated to follow him. After several twisting hallways and a couple minutes, we arrived at the council chamber. There were twelve vampires in the room.
“Welcome Krex, I hope you are well enough for our task.” The first member said, “I am Jacob.”
“Yes nice, but don’t care. So I’m teaching Cira huh, before or after my arm is in use?” I said rather rudely.
“Yes Jacob, you win, he’s as in person as rude in his messages.” A male vampire said in the corner of the room, “I am Deming. Yes before your arm is in use, just to answer your question.”
“Deming is right, you will teach, tonight! At least teach history to… whatever her name was.” A female spoke up, “I think history is a good beginning, plus it gives you time to heal.”
“Anndreanna, this not the time for history. She must begin training, at once.” said Jacob.
I realized that the other nine vampires were just normal vampires. While the three argued, I noticed that there was a more powerful aura out of the room.
“Krex will you teach battle or history, are you listening?” Deming demanded.
“With the extent of my listening ability, I’ll do the…the second one, history. Where is Cira, by the way?” I asked, jolting back to reality.
“She is in the room in the left hall; go down four doors on the right. Why do you ask?” Anndreanna said. “Is she your girlfriend?”
“Because I’m teaching her so why not get a head start. And I don’t have a girlfriend. Besides I could use a change of scenery.” I replied rather coldly. “I’m done, whether you are or not.”
I turned around and left them stunned, that someone didn’t fear them. As I walked I thought about what was going to say. Did she know that she was going to be taught, did she know I was doing it? Or did she still want to kill me. Finally I reached her room, she seemed to being trying to fend off something.
“Cira! Are you in there?” I hollered, while kicking the door down. All of the sudden that feeling from the field came back. As I was struggling to stand up, I could hear Cira scream. Using what little effect I had against him, I tried to make her invisible to him.
“Where did you go, you little rat?! Krex is out there isn’t he? Oh well not for long.” Lucifer said grimly. “Krex you should make her visible, if you know what's good for you. Krex, come out, come out where ever you are.”
“She’s not part of our battle.” I said, knowing that he couldn’t see me, “See ya.”
I shimmered Cira first, than I left. We landed in the healing room. Quickly I put my hand over her mouth for a few moments. When I removed it, the first she did was pass out. It was then that the council healer came in. She looked shocked, but she must of guess what happened because she just grabbed Cira and placed her on the bed. I was concentrating on self healing my wrist, I broke it when I grabbed Cira and she kicked me in shock.
“She’ll be fine. How did you get to her in time?” she asked me curious.
“I was walking over to be revealed as teacher. I heard her screaming and broke down the door to get to her.” I replied to her. “And got my wrist broke in the process of shimmering her out, thank you very much!”
“I’m sorry if I sounded rude. It’s just that you found courage to fight him to rescue Fela and Cira, but when you’re alone you are terrified of him. I was wondering why that is.” She said.
“I-I just don’t want him to hurt them that’s all. Besides if I fear him I stand better chances of surviving from him.” I said in order to defend myself.
“No Krex, you must look deeper to find why you do this. Besides, one day you might save us all from him. You never know.” She said smiling.
“What's your name, by the way?” I asked. I was a little wary of her I’ll admit. Besides when he attacked she was no where, but when she’s near, I can’t even sense him.
“Aleese is my name. I’m a fledging of Lucifer, but when he mistreated my gift of healing I ran to the council. They took me in and have hid me since.” Aleese said.
Just then Cira moaned and sat up. I however stood up, gave her a nod, and left the room leaving her dazed. I walked down to find Fela. She must have doing the same because she took a glance at me and broke into a run. When she caught up with me she looked a bit worried.
“Waz wrong with you? You have a worried look. Wait I’ll guess, you heard what happened already, am I right?” I asked.
“Yes, you’re right. But that’s strange he doesn’t attack for almost two hundred years, now within one week he’s attacked twice. I just don’t get it. Does he want something or is he just trying to take over completely?” Fela said. “Krex you’re quiet for once, you o.k.?”
“Just peachy, but he does want something, he wants Cira and me.” I replied flicking some of her blond hair over her shoulder, I found that her piercing yellow eyes were searching mine. “Your eyes are yellow today.”
“Yeah whatever, but why does he want you, I mean that if he has Cira than you’re kinda weak compared to her, no offense Krex.” She said, “It’s just that… oh I don’t know, why?”
“None taken, he wants me because of what I can do. I’ll tell you someday, o.k. Plus it’s shocking that now he wants Cira…hmm. I’ll have to factor that in as well.” I said staring into the yellow eyes.
“Oh yeah, Cira wants you.” She said suddenly eyes growing dark. She looked rather like a wolf.
“Great.” I sighed. I left because she would ask questions. Now I had to go back. I have every right to sigh.
As I began my walk down to the healing room, I thought about what had happened in her room. It was quiet until I was in front of it. Now Cira was after me about who the heck guy was.
“What you want now, Cira?” I said.
“Who was that guy, huh? He seemed to know you. And what does he want me for?” she demanded. “How did you know that I was being attacked?”
“That was an old…friend, for a lack of a better word. His name is Lucifer. He’s the dictator of vampires. He wants you because if he can turn your mind, you could be the ultimate weapon. I knew ‘cause I was coming to talk to you. Does that answer all your questions?” I replied with a sigh.
“No it doesn’t, why were you coming to talk me? What do you mean by friend?” she questioned again.
“I was coming to talk about your teaching. I mean by friend that he out to kill me and you.” I said, “Anything else?”
“What about my teaching, is the teacher dead? Have you meant him yet? I haven’t though.” She said now excited.
“Yes I’ve meant him, but so have you. I’m your teacher, I just learned about it. So you better be nice to me, o.k.” I said replied trying to scare her. Needless to say it worked.
“No, really who is it? You can’t really have been appointed my teacher,” she took one look at my face, and then gasped, “You’ve got to be kidding!”
“Nope,” I said, “So, now you get to be nice or else.”
“You, of all dorks, and I was placed with you. Why did they ask you, you’re not best person to battle? They promised the best in combat against the ultimate threat. You aren’t even noteworthy to what they said. They said ‘There is only one vampire ever to challenge him and live, but just barely. And that if he accepted it he would teach me.’ You can’t be that vampire, now can you?” Cira replied.
“Sorry to disappoint you, but yes I am. Now let’s go to study shall we!?” I started to lose my temper, blood boiling.
“No, you can’t be my teacher. I mean, that you haven’t battled him! Have you?” she asked.
“Yes I have. Thanks.” I replied. “Can I go now; I’m seeing you at 10 tonight anyway.”

Then
“Alex! Come here and do the dishes please” a women called.
“In a moment mom, I’m talking to someone,” Alex replied “He says he knows you.”
As the women leaned out the window to see who it was, Alex started screaming.
“What's going on- oh Lucifer! It’s you, but how did you find me?” she said.
“Yes Kara it’s me. Did you forget your promise to me?” The vampire said to her.
“No I didn’t, but you said seventeen. Oh Alex I’m sorry.” Kara started sobbing.
“What did you mean you’re sorry? Who is he?” Alex asked weakly
“He’s a vampire dear. Before you were born he attacked me and in order to save you, I traded you to him for my life” She replied turning away. “Now he’s here to collect.”
“No you’re lying. You’re lying!” Alex started to panic even more.
“I’m not! I no longer know you, is that clear?!” Kara yelled forcefully. “I gave birth to you to get rid of evil. Don’t you understand why I couldn’t love you?

Chapter 5
Upon leaving her room, Fela marched over to me and demanded that I talk to her right then.
