Love is simply an Act of Giving

Who are you and What am I is only part of the formula.
The Gift, with its value, its Origin, and the Time of giving
Are all the ingredients that produce the feeling.

As these insights come to mind
A chemistry occurs your body will find.

We don’t understand it, can’t see or define it.
'Falling in Love' or an 'Act of God' is what we call it.

We try to possess it, add measures and limits, with
Demands and attachments, then try to control it.

We think this will protect and shield us from the hurt and pain.
It’s a fear we have but it’s all in vain.

Because these games played leave us lonely and rejected,
And make us yearn.

For Love is a Perception, born from Giving, that you will learn.
