My internal conflicts and struggles finally told.
Every time I hurt,
Every time I try,
Every time I cut,
Every time I cry.
No matter what I do,
It leads me straight to pain.
I try so hard to see the sun
In this God forsaken rain.
I try to talk to someone; anyone,
Anyone who will understand,
Someone who comprehends,
Someone who will never demand.
Every time I hope,
Every time no one is there,
Every time I withdraw,
Every time someone should care.
I try to resist the relentless pull,
Of the rage that eats at me inside,
Yet every time it finds me,
No matter where I have tried to hide.
I try to ignore the depression,
That whispers for me to die,
But I never succeed,
I always break down and cry.
Every time the rage takes over,
Every time depression sinks in,
Every time I have to start over,
Not knowing where to begin.
I fight it with all I’ve got,
But I’m no match for its power.
It’s about as unstoppable,
As a raging thundershower.
And just like the rain pours into the ground,
It pours into me its most worst,
Until I can handle it no longer,
I always just weaken and burst.
Every time it always happens,
Every time they look at me in blame,
Every time my tears fall freely,
Every time in remorse and in shame.
Every time I tried to stop it,
Every time it didn’t matter,
Because every time I fought it,
Every time my soul would shatter.
