I honestly agree. Back then money was a big thing, and cotten was a luxury because of that. Texas land was just right for that. If Texians had backed down, they would not of had the money to feed thier family. Oil was not found until the 1900s, so coal was bought from the Mexicans. I have no idea if this little thing is true, just my opinion. But the revolution really was a positive for Texas.
