If I have anything to say about this short story, I would have to say that it's an okay short story. It's not good, but it's not bad, either. It's just okay. I mean, I can relate with the theme of the story, as it is hard for people to fit in with other unique people when they don't have the same strengths as them. But overall, it's okay.
If there's one word to describe this story, it's meh. I mean if the story was fleshed out more, I would probably be more interested in this story than I am right now. However, there is one part that I find interesting and it's the "digital refusenik" part. We all have experiences with our disappointment of digital TV, and that's OK. Overall, though it's pretty meh.
In all honesty, this story feels nothing like a full-on story I would read, but rather the first chapter of an interactive story, as shown by what's in the story, which sounds like choices on who you want to be. If I wanted to ready a proper story, I would read one where it actually feels like a story.
This is an amazing story about a young boy in the 3rd grade who encounters the Mighty Mantis, nicknamed "Prayer", a female Praying Mantis who is the largest insectoid life form anyone has ever seen, while on a field trip to "Cahokia Mounds"! Though it does have a sad ending, it's still worth it to go through this story!
