This was a fascinating look at Alzheimer's from the other side of the mirror.
We are introduced to Sid when he goes into The Memory Lane Malt Shop for a quick bite to eat and experiences a strange phenomenon. He becomes a young man again and encounters a young version of his late wife.
He suspects this all a dream and is afraid that he will wake up.
This piece is a beautiful story that is skillfully written. A lovely read. Well done!

At first I couldn't figure it out... it was listed as a comedy, and other than the references to Ol' President Bill, it seemed like a fairly serious piece--well written, but not a belly buster.

This was quite a story that grabbed my attention. Although I wondered at the foolishness of the young lady continuing her pursuit when she realized there was an intruder, this is well written and kept my attention throughout. But I noticed this was written in '02, so I guess she didn't have a cell phone to call the police.
I liked the twist at the end.
