I really like this. Reminds me of how just seeing a fish or fishing pole or even a lake brings back memories of my Grandpa and the few times I went fishing with him. I miss him a lot and thinking of him doing something that he loved. . .Priceless!
This poem speaks to what I feel when my moods swing with my bi-polar. There are times where everything seems bleak and I can't see past the "darkness" in my mind, in my heart. Then there are times when I get back to my "normal" state and everything seems brighter and I feel lighter in my soul. When I swing the other way and an manic the light is so bright that I am blinded by is and can't see reason.
This really spoke to me. Thank you for recommending it to me.
I am starting a collection of poetry that really speaks to me to use as a collage in my room to help me overcome the dark days and lift my mood even when I just feel sad or mad. May I use your poem?
Keep writing and good work!
