Great story and loved the light humor it portrayed despite the adversity faced. The use of the prompt was deftly done and I enjoyed the whole story and the two characters in it. Also liked the way the father truly knew what is important but said it in a non melodramatic way. Cool stuff!

Loved the poem. As someone who's been struggling with dieting and eating healthy all my life, I could relate to this. I especially loved the ending with the stupid fruit. The writing is really good and the way the poem evolves was a lot of fun to read. Keep writing!

Change that to 'you're'.
