You seem to have a nice talent for storytelling and building suspense. I like the way you made such a small triumph (getting a cup of coffee) into a great feat for this person who, it seems, was once privy to much greater events. I can feel tension building even in this short sample.

You do, however, need to work on some basic English grammar and punctuation. All the storytelling talent in the world won't mean much if your prose is difficult to decipher, as this sample sometimes is.

Keep working on your draft, and revise for grammar. Keep up the good work!
