Amen to that. We need strong marriages as a society. The attack that has been made by the feminist movement has shunned marriage as a sort of slavery, whilst it is a gift of union with God, two becoming one, only successful with the One.
You are right in saying that marriage is the foundation of the family, and we need family to have a strong cultural framework. You have really portrayed that marriage is not just about love, but commitment when things get tough. I think you could also include how marriage makes us holier, that when we marry someone we should have the mission of making that person a saint. That marriage is a service as much as it is a gift.
