This is the first piece I read from beginning to end on writing.com. Here are some reasons why:

The simplification of something that's so beautiful and deep is wonderfully executed. Your skill as a writer is evident, but you don't overdo something that's so instinctive and basic. These prehistoric characters wouldn't have known or understood complexity, and you make this clear with wonderful narration and thorough characterization using only pronouns and wonderful imagery. I hope I catch more from you :)
