This was a very interesting poem and I read it several times to fully appreciate the food imagery you so eloquently described. I had never heard of an Epulaeryu until now and I am intrigued! I'm really glad you chose to explain the form of poetry you used, I was able to learn something and to enjoy a fascinating food poem all at once! I might have to give this Epulaeryu a try sometime! Great job.
This is by FAR the BEST short I've read here! Excellent! I love the premise of Beast getting a divorce and that Disney doesn't always end "happily ever after"! I found no flaws whatsoever in this story and I am truly wanting to read more! The Alice reference was very cute too, you have a wonderful imagination and a wicked sense of humor. This is just the kind of stuff I sit and think about too! Anyway, great piece and PLEASE keep writing! I'm going to find more of your work!
I genuinely enjoyed reading this story. Excellent writing! I found the characters to be interesting and highly believable. The dialog between the parents was honest, and I love the "living snowflake" theory. The only thing preventing me from giving this story a full five stars is that it was just a bit too predictable, IMO. I knew the snow was going to form her beloved pony and I also knew at some point Lucy was going outside without that beeper! Other than that, I think this is a fantastic idea and a very well-written story. I highly encourage you to expand on this idea and write more of these people and their alien world.
