This is excellent! What you’ve written here is a multifaceted story with fine composition. You do an excellent job of capturing the details of bovine existence, and you set up a cliffhanger that really grips the reader.

The premise is one of my favorites. I really like how this is within the realm of possibility. We don’t have nano-technology yet perhaps, but the odds of being able to live out our fantasies with the aid of technology are ever growing. Virtual-reality headsets are at an all-time high, and it’s not a colossal stretch of the imagination to think of this scenario happening within the century, even the next few decades.

The details of life as a cow are excellent: sloshing udders, “Moo!”-ing onomatopoeias, grazing, and even ripe cowpies. It is this precision of writing and attention to detail that brings this story off the screen.

My favorite element of the story however has to be Gina, the AI program for the transformation device. She seems harmless enough, and even helpful, asking questions and mapping out the whole process of the transformation experience down to the last detail. But it’s enticingly suspicious that she will dangle pleasure in front of her user and our narrator all for the sake of knowing his name. As a reader, I’m enthralled and excited to see just how she plans on using this information to leverage things in her favor. It seems to hint that she’s not the quaint, friendly AI that she appears to be…

All in all, an excellent job! I certainly hope the next installment comes soon!
