Epiehl,
I read your piece about Tom Petty.
The day it was announced that Tom Petty died I felt heartstruck.
It was a day his music, although it will be played on, literally died. Made me think of my own mortality, in that we all have our moment and vanish away. If only we all left such a mark of beauty on the world.
It was a short quote of two sentences. The first sentence: Do not mind the imposing nature of the crowd, this really struck me with meaning. It was instructional and of the same kind of tone as Kalidasa in Look to this day for it is life the very life of life.
The second sentence was pure wisdom teaching to enjoy quality of life over quantity. Very Good!
