You have painted a beautiful word picture of a bond between two people that is evident by the single remorse of a missed opportunity to say farewell. The empty feeling expressed would not be felt so greatly had the relationship not been strong. So the dust, nakedness, devouring cold and perishing thoughts that might be frozen in time can be freed by dwelling on the good memories which can release the prisoner of time.
You have captured the emotion of the "If only"
I liked it.

A pleasant and fanciful read. What a perfect name for th e UNESCO director. Good robot name also. They're both so apropos. I liked the ending. Everything seemed to fit togeather and the suspension of reality wasn't very hard to do. The story line flowed quite well. On the whole, I liked it.
Brian.

Wanting to paint your memories black is a very vivid description of the gist of this poem. I once heard of a person who wrapped up his recollections in a paper bag, put a bow on it and put it in a box. He then took the box to the basement of his mind and put the box on a table in a small room off to one end. He then spread a canvas over all the boxes and took the light bulb out of the socket. He very rarely goes to that room but sometimes he finds himself going there.
That is to say your poem, I think has meaning for a lot of people not only with OCD, but for many other ailments. I am sure that some who read will take the advice of the black paint.
I thought your poem was very interesting.

I liked this poem, it gives hope and prospect to the reader. The message I get from this is that without reciprocation, acquaintances, friendships or love do not have a chance to grow. To respond to a word, a gesture or a glance can make the interaction manifest into a beautiful relationship. The imagery is vivid and it tends to make the reader think about all the "could have beens" and "if onlys".
