A slow start for me, as I'm not always into this type of reading.. but I stuck with it within no time the story had me gripped, and had me reading quite quickly to the end.. it's a prologue, so I wonder what the main story will be about.. dealing with her grief? Getting justice for the loss of her husband? Teaching those youths a lesson? Either way.. I'm intrigued.. keep up the good work! 🙂
Is the "Just do it! I'm taking care of things out here!" paragraph unfinished? Other than that I thought it was a terrific read. My attention span isn't great at the moment but it had enough character to keep me going right til the end,I know that can sometimes be difficult but you did well.
I love the switch of emotions, where there are tongue in cheek bits with aunt 'Manda Lynn, and the the words and actions of the mother, right to the cold realisation that the grandad was dying. Every character got their side of the story across and I'm sure everyone knows someone like each of them.
A great story about a subject people try to avoid, but we'll all have to go there at one point or another, seeing other people point of views, whether fact or fiction can help prepare people for these, so I applaud you for the effort and hope this does well. This is my first physical review so apologise if I'm missing some points but feel free to message me if you require any further feedback.
Overall, great reading.
