I love the way you express the feeling of trepidation as you were learning and the cockiness that came later. It brought back some vivid memories of my own driving learning process. (I can still hear my driver's ed teacher in his downward trill, "WHOA, WHoa, Whoa!" I couldn't tell what he was whoa-ing about, and was completely mortified at the fact that I had apparently done something wrong, but it was too horrific for him to vocalize with real words. Anyway, I thought your story was great! It made me realize I may have a couple unresolved issues with my Driver's Ed, teacher...20 years later!! Great job and keep writing!!
Wow. Wonderful description! I was hooked into this by the first paragraph. You truly have a gift for keeping the reader intrigued. You may have wanted to delve into the relationship with the twin brother a little bit more. It left me with a few questions about the twin. What exactly happened to the brother? I loved it though! Very nicely done. Keep at it!
