I enjoyed this reading this. You have done an excellent job describing action, which is not always easy. I could picture a James Bond style chase as I read it, and you painted clear a clear picture of what was happening. I was not expecting the ending, and definitely was curious how Jon got himself in that position. This could definitely be expanded into a longer story. Thanks for sharing!
This is a beautifully written poem that clearly illustrates the shock that comes with losing a loved one. With a few words, you have shown the transition from anger to shock and acceptance. This is a poem that any one who has lost a parent can relate to, no matter the age of the child or parent.
I really enjoyed reading this poem. I can picture the narrator walking and reflecting on his choices in life. I appreciate how he alternates between regrets and resentments and gratitude for his wife and children. I also enjoy the play on words, wonder/wander. I think this is a beautifully written poem that most readers will be able to relate to. Thank you for sharing!
