The section here is an interesting fragment, reading almost like an excerpt from a larger piece of work. I wonder where it might go, I do want to see more of what is brought to the table. It’s difficult to really make anything of this aside from the experience of someone in the company of ‘animals.’

I enjoyed this. No grammatical errors, due to the writing prompt. The prose here is bitter sweet. I can feel there's something deeper I can't quite grasp at.
This serves as such a great hook, I would read a full length story off of this. I enjoy the lighthearted tone that was set, though it contrasts a bit with the character's situation. The change from hallucination to complete suspension of belief is very difficult to pull off.
