The section here is an interesting fragment, reading almost like an excerpt from a larger piece of work. I wonder where it might go, I do want to see more of what is brought to the table. It’s difficult to really make anything of this aside from the experience of someone in the company of ‘animals.’
Literature, like anything made by people, is a construction: a system made to make the unclear more focused. We use tools to understand our world, ourselves, and sometimes those around us.
Literature cannot live for you, and trying to live as literature will leave you broken. Focus on what is essential, substance alone will always overcome style when style lacks substance.
I enjoyed this. No grammatical errors, due to the writing prompt. The prose here is bitter sweet. I can feel there's something deeper I can't quite grasp at.
This serves as such a great hook, I would read a full length story off of this. I enjoy the lighthearted tone that was set, though it contrasts a bit with the character's situation. The change from hallucination to complete suspension of belief is very difficult to pull off.
