Is this an intro? It could be an interesting story I like the fact it seems to be set in modern times and in a major city. the only criticism I would offer is to draw that fact forward more, like is it cold, what about the sounds and smells of a major city, these thing would help where and when this takes place.

the prose was beautiful. A lot of the scenes were vivid to read, however the description started to over run the story making it feel a lot longer and more labor intensive to get through. almost like there was a word count you wanted to hit instead of a story you wanted to get out.
I was prepared not to like this story, I ran through it quickly before reading it and thought I was going to hate it but I was wrong.That was interesting in a good way, I think I'm going to read that again. the voices used were rich and distinct. I love the interview slant in this story.
