Review of Why do you write?  Open in new Window.

I chose other because the reason encompasses all of the other choices. Mostly, I write because I have stories to write, and people that want to have their stories told (I know, they don't exist in real life....until they hit the page, that is). That said, it is mostly fun, I would eventually like to be able to support myself with my writing, it is a way to express my points of view and at the same time live in a world which I tend to like more than the real one.

Review of Music and Writing  Open in new Window.

I find that after a while, if I am in a good spot and writing away, I don't even hear the music anymore :) And having earphones on makes the music pretty much the only thing I have to listen to, droning out the neighbours and their noisy children. Sometimes a song/piece can help with the mood of what I write too, and is helpful to give me a boost when my energy is lagging. It creates a sort of bubble around me so, as said above, I am less distracted by the outside world. Hope this helps!

Review of Out Loud  Open in new Window.

It can help to reviev narrative fiction too, to see especially if dialogue is consistent or too long etc. I found it can be hard sometimes though (both fiction and poetry), because when we read ourselves we put in our tone and voice a whole set of inflexions which another reader might not put, therefore giving a different feel to the sentences.

Review of Trick or Tweet  Open in new Window.

I loved this story. I liked the irony in the circle coming back to its beginning. I liked the division in chapters, the perfect way to show the excalation in tension as the reader comes to expect the worse the more he reads.
I have one small point to make: the use of the ";" (semicolon) sometimes doesn't work well. It cuts sentences (like in: "hard to believe that just an hour before; we were well-connected") in half, or interrupts the flow of the thoughts.
Apart from that, as I said, I found it very interesting as a subject and in all as a story. Really, thank you for writing it.

I found this survey interesting, it could be useful for me both as a reader and as a writer, because it asks questions we writers have to deal with when we create the people for our books, and as readers for when we choose which book to read, or which we liked best.
I would have liked to be able to have a survey like this but with questions for writers instead of readers. Sometimes we create people who are parts of us, sometimes we like to explore different worlds, cultures and belief systems.
In all, a good survey, that could give some good feedback to the author, but could obtain more if a demographic of some sort could be added to a person's opinion (ie, if I say a book represents me, but it is not known what type of person I am, the question doesn't help much).
