I feel like this, is a poem very much written at an idealistic time. The poem paints love as this thing that everyone needs while making those who do not have it as desperate, weak and needy.
I do feel a lot of time when into how to poem flows and the story is told. I really did connect with what the author was trying to say, and it was straightforward to read. The words and sentences flowed very nicely together.
However, the overall message is where I get a little stuck, love is a big thing, but not essential, and those without it certainly are not as desperate as the author intends. Perhaps that is my own experiences and viewpoint coming into play as well, as well as the author’s, and they just clash, and nothing more.
I would have loved to have seen this expanded upon, into more than just four verses. I feel like the author could have developed on his point and made it more with a few more stanzas.
It certainly is not a bad piece, just a bit bland and short with a message I personally have a few thorns with.
As someone who enjoys baseball, I do feel that this guide contains a lot of useful information for learning the basics of the sport.
However, I do feel like a lot of that usefulness is not for someone who is new to the sport as over half of it is trivia and cool facts, but very little that is useful in learning the game of baseball.
The other thing that makes it hard to recommend is the lack of spacing. I do not think it should be one big paragraph and should have been spaced accordingly. It was very hard to keep reading, just from sheer mental exhaustion.
Again, a very solid foundation and topic choice, a little lacking in execution.
