Good work with your poem. I appreciate the metaphorical use of the 'stars' and the 'ghosts' - these words helped bring the poem to life.

I would have liked more, I think the poem could be extended, giving it a greater sense of mystery and meaning.

Well done on writing a poignant poem about such sad subject matter.

I guess you could say this poem was quite literal - little use of flowery 'poem'-like words, more a retelling of what has happened and some of what your friend was going through while he was alive.

In some lines, the rhyming is effective, while in others, it is a little forced, and doesn't flow.

However, it is quite touching, and obviously you reached inside and listened to your feelings when you wrote it. It would have been a great poem to have read at a funeral or other such memorial.
