What happened? How in the world can you walk away from all those memories? I am in awe of this out-pouring of your heart, your time and your love. It was really such a beautiful piece of writing. I think you are going to grow to love this more and more as the years go on. I enjoyed your walk down memory lane. The sweet innocent of the firt love. You have it in every word of this poem. Wonderful.
I like the challenge you asked, but I was thinking you were outside shoveling, I so like sledding much better and smiled when I got to that fun part! It the only thing about winter that is any fun if you ask me. I'm not a skier so anything I can do while sittind down is darn good for me. Only I haven't been that lucky with much snow this year. It keeps missing me town! Oh well, have fun and keep writing and doing!
Sometimes it is a waste of time to get stuck in that bad place of lost memories and unfilled dreams, but othre times being in that place is the only comfort you can find. Its a sad day when a soul feels useless and this poem really hits hard with that expression. I find it so sad to be lost in the past and for so many years this was exactly what happened to me. Life is such a funny teacher! I enjoyed reading this poem and can offer no suggestions to improve it. It wasnt a waste of time!
Can I just lust over the list of Lexicon and forget the poem? You don't mind do you? I mean, you don't need more imput from me. I am not even sure what the heck your saying, I just want to get down to the doing. I so like your +18 side of writing! So have fun with the contest, I am sure they will adore it! You so have it going on!
Write on stud!

What makes a heart so fond? What makes a relationship spark and then burn out? It's always a wonder and it's always real the emotions. It hurts to read this poem, because I can still get caught up in these emotions and wonder myself into misery. It's hardly the kind of feeling that ends good for me. Just the way my heart loves. Thank you so much for sharing your moment.
Thank you for allowing me to give you a Simply Positive review: I sure hope this is fiction! LOL...It sure proves that a woman's touch can be very addictive. I liked the way this twisted and changed directions in his dream. You ended on such a dark thought. I don't think she was a goddess of good!! I enjoyed reading this!!!
Thank you for allowing me to give you a Simply Positive review:
Wow! What a great Dad!! I love this rich and interesting life and even if it has such a sad ending, you still can't miss the love that was and is your Dad! I lost my parents to poor health and in many ways it was so hard, but I didn't have to watch my parents suffer and for that I am always grateful. We sure have no control over aging, but loving and giving is something we can always find a way to accomplish. I am so glad that SP highlighted this important poem. I wish you father peace and all your family as well.
In poetry it is important to share an emotional connection. Or at least when I am writing and reading that is what I like to look for. So dear Ken, You have nailed a perfect union. You have given me a dream to think about and strive for. With words you burn a passions light on romance and desire. It's a great combo of all the elements that make a great romp in bed fun and enjoyable and why we want more! You know in so many ways I hate you and love you all at the same time! Great Job and I hope you do well on the contest!!
Sounds like your muse is one hot momma! I love that ending line...deadly venom. Oh the written word can be so powerful. It is with grace that we write and express our passion. Each poet has their own way of communicating with words. I like the way you express yours! Write on and I hope you never lose your muse!!
Okay, I have to admit. I am crying! Dang it, you did it again!! What a sweet and wonderful way to celebrate love every single day. Highschool sweethearts! I know you didn't have that many years together, but what you had was so rich and long lasting and I can't thank you enough for sharing it. Linda was a true beauty. P.S. I Love You! Did you ever see the movie? It made me cry as well! Thanks Jim and I will be back when my spirit can handle more!
I am so glad this has a pretty ribbon! I love this! I so agree with your feelings about love. It is so much of who I am. It is what makes me happy and keeps me sane. It is why I love writing poetry and reading it so much. I learn the value of the human heart when I can read poetry that is so honest and beautiful. May love live inside and outside of you always! I adore this poem!!!
I bet he might push back! It's healthy to want more. It's refreshing to read a reality piece of poetry and still get a feeling of hope. It's true we can ask for too much, but can we really ever have it? You only over-do it, if you don't appreciate what you do have! So keep asking for more kisses!! Thanks for sharing and welcome to Writing.com!!
Thank you for your entry in the Paper Doll Challenge! You got it!
Okay, here are the rules for my judgment...
1. Follow the prompt. Dang you got me! It was his heart! Oh You rock with this one!
2. Easy to Read. Oh you set me up and I love that. From the beginning I was with Audra hoping that Sam would arrive with the goods and the words. Oh you romantic fool, your making me blush!
3. Errors/grammar. I am not an editor, so for me to find mistakes, they must really stand out. Once again I can not spot nothing that stands out. Only a few minutes when the passion was a little hot, but it fit right in with my thinking so I loved it.
Hey your singing my song! I love Sunshine, morning and any time I can celebrate a new day and my life. This might be a simple Haiku but you have a lot of living in only a few words. You have given me a smile! Thanks I needed this today. In Michigan we don't have much sun in the winter, so I like to find it in writing!
Thank you for allowing me to give you a Simply Positive review: Okay, I think I might have a twisted and dark mind, because I absolutely laughed out loud! OH MY! This is sad and funny and I can't believe I am still laughing. Poor Jimmy is going to have to find a better friend, one that won't get him embarrassed for the rest of his life. Do you think he will grow up all twisted because of this? Should I be worried????? Splendid write! Thanks for sharing and what fun to think about!
Thank you for allowing me to give you a Simply Positive review: Oh I hate unhappy endings! She belongs to someone else? Can you be sure? Why is fate so horrible to true love? Is it love or something else? I am such a romantic fool, thank you for touching my soul with your sweet words for Altarose. Keep sharing!
Thank you for allowing me to give you a Simply Positive review: I can not tell you the last time I have cried reading a writing.com story! However, right now I have tears in my eyes. Your ending was so intense and special. I don't know if this is a true story but it might as well be. It feels real. It was touching, romantic and honest. I have only good feelings and I'm so happy that Simply Positive highlighted this story! Respect and love! What a gift!
Okay, are you sure this is not for the sci-fy comic channel? Porkalypse? OMG you have me in stiches... I hate to inflate your ego but damn it. You can write just about anything insane you want. I sure hope you don't have pigs on your farm. You better be careful! Thanks for askig me but I am going with YES! Now would you get serious about having a writing career!
Oh I am so glad I finished your package reviews on this poem! First of all, I am not aware of this poetry form, but that is good. I don't have to judge the style because the words are the winner here!
What a great way to write about yourself, your power, your strength and your ending! The writing into being. I love the power of that! It has really been a pleasure to look inside your poetric heart and hear your words. I enjoyed every poem and I promise to be back for more!
Thank you for bidding on my auction package, this is review 4 of 5.
Okay, I love love love!!!! POPCORN! Your title caught my attention! I have no idea how old your girl is, but I think this is so funny! She has to run upstairs and hide to eat it? In my family, my kids would know I would chase them down just so I could eat some too! I hope you save this for her, some day she will look at this poem as a piece of her history and I hope she will smile. I know I sure did! Thanks for sharing and now I know what I want for a snack tonight!!

How can you take a spill on the ice and bring about a trip to childhood and any icy angel? You play in the day of white frosting and bring about warmth in your cold day. I can feel youth as well as a little bit of age. I don't like to fall down but remember when you had no fear of falling? It's funny how suddenly we change our minds as adults. I enjoyed this and am glad you allowed me to look into your youthful soul!
Thank you for bidding on my donation! This is review 2 out of 5.
What I love about this poem is the way I can see and hear the geese over head. I can feel the essence of time passing and summer moves unto fall and winter. The season and reason of change. To say goodbye to granny and know that she lives forever on in heaven, the sky. It's brilliant and makes me sad in a way and how much I am missing my own parents today. I think I am in a sentimental mood and your words are playing right to my heart.
Thank you for bidding on my donation. This is review 1 of 3.
I am so saddened by this poem. It speaks right to my heart and how time has stolen something so precious. It's so horrible to see it happen in front of you and you have no control to stop it, or change the tides of fate. I love the imagery of sand, time and erosion. It plays very well with the emotions of this poem. can offer no suggestions for improvement. This is very well done and sad on so many levels.
What a beautiful and sad way to look at your daughter. Her beauty as a rose, but thinking she lost her beauty when she ran away, her choice is so clearly not yours. it's a painful journey of watching a love bloom in front of us, of seeing a child so precious make a decision that hurts to the core of our being. Your examples of compost and decay are brilliant and honest. I can offer no suggestions to make this a better poem, I think it's honest as it is. I can only hope the rose remains her inner beauty forever.
Thank you for sharing your painful journey.
I am a huge fan of romance and love! I want to see and feel the emotions of the heart. I get the cry to be seen for who we are and what we love and live for. I admire this kind of heart pouring poetry. I would suggest you spell out the word one, it will make this look better, but I would never tell you how to write your thoughts, poetry is very subjective to the one that wrote it. It's nice that you shared this. Thank you! May you always have that love in your heart.
Write on!
