A heartfelt poem. I like how even amidst the pain, there is hope. The reminder to not feel forsaken is a powerful one during the time a loved one is sick. I also was struck by the strong sense of faith. The first stanza especially reminded me of my own experience with my mother. The incredible pain, wanting to shut down, but no time to break apart. I was left with 'All is well'. Thank you.

Thank you. Your poem brought a huge smile to my face. I worked at a children's hospital in the past and children and death has always seemed dark. I am left with a beautiful, happy, image and I believe the children are running heaven. Must be a great place.
