I like this poem. it is short but full of meaning. Your word choice creates great imagery of pain and loss. The speaker seems vulnerable and conflicted. I sense that this pain is not new. It is something very familiar to the speaker. I feel like the speaker has become numb to the pain and has a certain ritual that he or she executes in order to move past the pain but never really escapes it. Very deep. I like it.
