I am still confused. I think I entered a writing.com contest but can't find the page with the box for the b-item. I have seen this somewhere yet I'm a newbie and just don't quite get it. My b-item # 1677704 shows up at writers cramp but when I click, there isn't a text to read so I know something is wrong here on my end. Can you help me to get this posted correctly for today's contest?
A nice story for us all and especially for the carpoolers out there. They are relentless in this daily chore and sometimes oblivious to their surroundings. I witness this in my own Mother, who at age 75, participates in this frenzy with her grandson and all his rowing crew friends, 4 times a week, just the practices and then competition miles and miles away on every Saturday. You can see in the face of her spouse the unpleasentness that he may not approve of her driving with one barely visible eye and the other obscured by cataract yet his love for her freedom to choose her own misery of which she constanly complains about the carpooling and her age yet she refuses to stop. Why? It gives her enjoyment to be out of the house and at her age she feels the risk and freedom are worth it. God does protect us at any stage in life as HE guides my Mother on her daily driving routine.
Hi, Just wanted to comment about writing your own work. Although I'm not an accomplished writer yet I do aspire to be and wouldn't like someone taking my materials for their personal gain. I'm really a believer in "what is yours, is yours" which may be a selfish position but I have found in life's challenges that there are people who have no respect and will do whatever it takes to excellerate their own destiny. It is a sad world in which we live but I personally try to gain by my own doings and not of others unless it is a bonafied team effort, this way we all win.
I am MarcoMann and would like to join this group but I'm a newbie who is a baby when it comes to computer savvy so it makes very difficult to navigate the waters of Writing.Com and the many sites that I'm stumbling upon daily. Yes, as with most babies I will crawl, then walk, and talk but for now I'll write the best I can.
Another piece well written and very interesting as to your descriptions and so forth. I felt as though I could see it either from your POV or maybe it was just that I always watch animal stories so I easily adapted to the storyline. I look at the word choice use use for the many different works of yours and hope to be able to accomplish this task. It is evident, at least to me, you have talent rising above.
I saw only one word placed wrong, I think in line 23 ."be" is after coming and I'm not sure if this was suppose to read this way. I did like the work overall and you are good. I've also have noticed your diction is very good in your works.
Hi, I'm a newbie who stumbled across this site and read your BIO. I'm not a higher degreed person (AA BUS ADMN.) yet but hopefully soon and I do like to write and have written one complete novel which needss work i.e. editing, grammer, structurual guidance and little here and there from someone who has your qualifications. I found with being on writing.com for three days now, that this is a very good place for me to learn and grow with my writings and ask of you since you love to give reviews would you look at my work that is posted. Any thing that you want to say will be most appreciative and will help me to become better at writing. Your site is nice and welcoming. I will add to my favorites
Enjoyable little read that was well written. It reminded me of my first love back around the same age but I was always outdoors here in Florida. Any way I thought is Good.
I like this and it tells a true story in a short space. Speaking from experience in this area and having close friends who are still addicted I can relate to every sentence. Well done as with all of your work.
This is for me the best place yet that I have found to try and get NOTICED by the reader audience. I am now able to submit various writings and get reviews, support and polishing of these works for future publication which is my intermost desire.
Thanks MarcoMann
