This poem takes me back to my own youth. My reaction to it is that of an ordinary reader, not someone who understands Poetry itself. I particularly like the ending, which evokes feelings most of us have experienced to one degree or another. A poem like this makes you want to turn back the clock.
This is very entertaining. I like the way you tell a complete story in so few words.
No attempt is made to describe the characters. The reader does that for himself, through the dialogue, which makes them real through the things they say.
My favourite bit......."We need to respect nature............Now toss him in that trash can."
Well done.
Words.
This is disturbing. It describes with uncomfortable clarity the kind of situation so many of us are afraid of. The piece is very well written by an author who understands the subject.
The story is very touching. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's real to me.
This short piece is a delight to read.In very few words you've managed to invest a bottle with personality.I like the way it (he) reminisces about old friends.
Many people will recognise Andrew. Some of us have actually been him.
His honesty at the end suggests he and his old friend may part company eventually.
Well done.
It must be extremely difficult to write horror stories without producing a caricature. This story is almost too realistic. If it had been a film I would have covered my eyes the moment the 'cleansing' began.
The style is well suited to the grisly subject matter. The madman is extremely believable and I very much hope he's not headed my way.
The story is very well constructed and the readers' attention is held from start to finish.
Very good indeed.
I rated this piece '4.5' instead of '5.o' for one reason only-it does'nt seem to have an
end.It trails off with a sort of synopsis of what might have been.
That's a pity because I enjoyed what there was very much. It's well-written,fast-paced and humerous and I could have read on happily for quite some time.Could'nt the last part be expanded a little?
