I really like this story. I love the fear, concern, and uncertainty of these radical changes in the characters lives. One question: how old are Edna and Bill? Their names made me put them as older, but we're never really told. I also like the information about the disease because it's an educational story in addition to a good read.

Haha! This story made me laugh.

One thing, the doctor's last name seems like obvious foreshadowing.
