I find this poem absolutely stunning. The author manages to write so touchingly of the pain of growing older.
And I can't help but think of my great grandmother, who passed away last year. Even though she kept forgetting every day-things, like dinner, and changing her clothes, the memories of her childhood were crystal clear in her mind, all the way to the end. And I remember how sad she was when she realized that her hands had grown so weak, she was unable to knit.
The only thing that I believe could have been done even better is the rythm and the flow, but that's just if i have to point out something. All in all I think it is a really great poem, beautifullyy done.
And I must say, the last line of this poem does it all for me. Great job.
