Hello again John.
I swear, where do you come up with all of this?
Amazing how one simple thing (theft) can be used, abused and misleading when used by different people or organizations.
I liked how you were able to recognize, organize and assign these abstract observations to those responsible.
Anothe rwell done piece of work, again, thanks for sharing and write on....write on. Jerry
Hello John, it was good to hear from you again, I have been a bit remiss in writing lately but hope to get some more items posted soon.
I love all these 'tid-bits' and sayings, funny how something like these can have so much meaning to our lives. We may never think of them on our own, but we can certainly apply most to our lives.
Very nice collection here. Thanks for sharing and write on....write on. Jerry
A very sad story which offers a delima which few really know how to deal with. How does one explain to others how your buddy and best friend have died in a war which does not seem to have an ending? How many more must die before this conflict is over?
I enjoyed the structure, rhyme and rhythm of this poem even tho' it depicts a war which I do not favor. Poem is very well written and has deep emotion and feeling to the words, so, with that in mind, I must say "well done." Keep sharing your gifts with us.
Since my Grandmother was full blood Cherokee, this poem naturally caught my attention.
This poem, tho short in words, was long in rememberance and emotion, you captured this plight very well indeed.
My Grandmother's name was Noce Neve, never have found out what it meant.
Thanks for reviewing my work.
Write on....write on. Jerry
Hello Amy.....
This was certainly short and sweet but oh what a story it tells. A whole realm of feelings which most of us know, and, as you said those which can disappear so quickly.
A very appropriate title and ending.
I enjoyed this very much and hope you continue to write such intriguing peices. Thank you for sharing.
This is an interesting poem with an interesting title, to me it gives different images in my imagination. I liked the conclusion of the poem with the last two lines depicting both desire to do something and then the final fear of doing it. Great write, keep on writing things like this.
We all have a past, whether it is one we wish to forget or hold on to forever. This is a very interesting write, it's amazing how when the fog dissipates and one begins to see clearly life just suddenly appears.
You have a lot of emotion and imagery in this poem which is wonderful. I think anything worth writing should always have these elements, the words need to come to life and speak, these words did and do.
Nice job, keep on creating like this. Jerry
Oh my goodness, this is a very interesting write, such sharp and complete contrasts on different points of view between images, facts and understanding. Really gives me something to think about.
I always enjoy when a writer challenges me to think and you have done an excellent job here.
Thanks for sharing your viewpoints, I especially liked the last one "in a new understanding of my confusion." Keep your imagination working and producing. Jerry
Hello Alex....I am a new member here also.
Enjoyed this poem of yours, very descriptive, good imagination, imagery very realistic, I liked how you told this story of the stealthy night fox. Great write.
I am also on poets.com, if you will send me your screen name there I will be glad to visit your site and apply a few stars to your account. Best to you.
Hello Artis.....
I have not seen, heard or read of anything that tells it striaghter and stronger than you have done in this article. I must say I agree with you 100%.
While watching the events take place on that fateful morning, and seeing those tortured souls leap to their deaths...I did think about it and wondered what would I do.....
Imagine the courage that took...
Being born and raised in Texas, let it be known I am no George Bush OR Republican fan. This deadly combination has taken so much away from all of us.
Having lived in South Louisiana now for many years, I have first hand knowledge of what our present government is capable of (or incapable of.)
I do believe the Democrats are gonna rule, but, how much better off will we be?????
I read through this twice to make sure the images created in my mind were unchanged and remained constant.
I get an image of our nation and the direction in which it is headed, what will be left of us after all the terrorists have ceased trying to kill the entire world, only "forever" with their celestial virgins running around?
These are very sobering thoughts not to be taken lightly. Thank you for sharing this.
Hello Valerie....
This was short and ever so true, funny sometimes how one tell tell so much with so few words.
I liked the "follow your confidence." I think that is the key to this poem, a standard we all should follow with our own lifestyles.
I think the implied imagery makes this poem very strong indeed. I did enjoy.
Hello Artis, I enjoyed this poem of lost and found love, lost in life then recovered in death. Your imagery is very good and the flow of the words kept the poem moving. An interesting little story which has a never ending theme, that of love which for some lasts even until the grave, perhaps beyond.....
I must say that I enjoyed this trip through the pirate mind that inhabits your ship load of thoughts and ideas and inspires you to share your musings with others, in a very entertaining way.
Very nice use of word play and developing this into the mind and musings of a poet, and a poet you are. Thanks for sharing the bard in you.
Hello,I must say that I enjoyed this very well written poem, love how you transitioned from a seasonal setting into a personal experience of a youth, like the changing seasons, evolving and growing into a man, and then a old man.
Your imagery was very well done as I could see myself written into these words.
Again, very enjoyable, thanks for sharing your vivion with us.
I doubt that those of us who were aware of those terrible events five years ago will ever forget.
I think you outlined so much of it in your poem, lives lost, wars, anger and hatred, but most important of all....remembering.
I think you have a good sense of direction with this and got your point across very well.
A very respectful understanding of this story should be felt by all who read this. There is so much in our history, so many battles, on so many fronts demanding the sacrifice and loss of life for so many men and women, hero's all. This was a sobering, thoughtful and inspiring story. Thanks for sharing your vision with us.
Thanks for reviewing "My Treasure Chest."
I really enjoyed your "Change of Dreams," it tells a story that so many people have lived, chasing the almighty dollar, and some never finding the true riches of what love can do for our lives.
Enjoyable, good rhythm and flow and very meaningful. Thanks for sharing these thoughts.
I enjoyed how you were able to depict different forms of tension causing incidents in our lives.
Written with good imagery which made me able to recall so much in my life as I was reading this.
Straight forward style covering so much with so few words.
Thanks for sharing.
A pleasant story in a poem about lasting love and relationship with the one chosen to live your life with.
Great feeling and emotion expressed here.
I enjoyed the intimate details i.e., the dogs and ya'll calling yourselves Mom and Dad.
The last line was my favorite a love that endured and is stronger today.
Thanks for this heartwarming poem
I truly enjoyed this poem, it creates such powerful imagery of our ancestery which lives on through each of us. Sometimes we forget to appreciate what we have and how we got it and many lessons can be learned from those whose silent spirits still walk this land. Wonderful wording and phrasing, easy flowing free style.
Thanks for sharing.
