Nicely done! This was cleanly executed as a fun, quick read with a little twist that I certainly didn't expect. I did notice a couple of tiny technical errors (a run-on sentence in the second paragraph, decent in place of descent) but for a one-day challenge it's pretty tight.

Lovely. Very evocative. I noticed the first four were "rain" and the last two "rains"—is that intentional?
