Very nice,
the ending was an unexpected twist, i was anxious reading the lead-up and then kind of went 'oh, lol'
Great work.
feel free to check out my short, i've only just begun dabbling with writing so it needs work but it's okay.

Touching,
My grandfather also saw an apparition before his death , not your saviour but i digress.
This line was great : "In my Fathers house there laid once a gentle giant who died a hero with peace of God in his heart".
