This is cute, nice flow. Thanks for posting this. It's very simple, moves quick, witty, and no fluffy or contrite chatter. This sounds like a children's book or would be acted out as a skit in an early education class. Would work great in a classroom/ art class with lunch sack puppets.
Nice flow, a lot of depth here. Yes, tomorrow can push deep in our heads when it comes to graduation.
Just a tip, not that what you have here is wrong and just adding my cents worth..."to take the reins myself" might be too far of a shift from your beginning. The first lines seem to have a reflective perspective that projects solvent direction and that line shifts toward more of "along for the ride and don't care where it takes me".
Immersing in forms of creative expressions like movies, poetry, paintings, photography, etc. can carry us away and send our imagination on a journey through our own experiences. Thank you for presenting your feelings in a poem!
I loved the conflict shifts from the here and now, to the what will be, and back to the here and now. The tone reflects the transitions in that movement very well.
I picture a nursing student! The tone of this reminds me of my sister's stories of working two jobs and finishing nursing school. Love it for that reason.
