Excellent piece of work telling the story of a becoming writer, and one I can relate to. At one time I also felt the compulsion that I knew better than my teachers, that they were teaching just to teach. Despite this, I still made an effort to learn what they had to say and it has benefited me.
It took me a few seconds to get the flow and meaning of the poem, but once I did it was certainly revealing. The structure is good as the transition between dark and beautiful was subtle. Overall, I like the message that this poem provides. After all, It can't rain all the time.
I live my life without your beliefs because I find them unnecessarily time consuming and delusional.
I do not mean this as a personal attack, please do not take it as such.
I am only responding to the questions proposed in your poem with my own reason.
Also, I am rating you on the poem and not the messages kept within it.
Good day to you, Monsieur.
While somewhat brief compared to other things I've read, it sums it up rather nicely. I came upon the same conclusion as a child, as all it takes to unravel religion is the ability to think logically and without "faith," which is essentially the willingness to be manipulated. it is a relief to see like minded individuals. Good day to you.
A good little story with a much deeper meaning that can be applied to life. This is a good metaphor to represent how children often see only the good in things, how it is difficult to see the evils in the world when you are so young and haven't been fully exposed to them yet. Also, it has a funny twist at the end. All in all, good lesson.
