Review of Freddy's letter  Open in new Window.
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
I like the historical accuracy shown here, and the mannerisms of the letter are superb. But its hard to really experiance the events from his point of view when your telling, not showing. insert some first hand descriptions from his men to make it seem more real. It would be a different matter if it were part of a larger set of coorespondence, which could include letters from one of Custers men, or Custer himself.

Review of Transition  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (4.0)
I don't often read poetry, but when I do I look for an emotional and concentrated feelings. For me, this has brought back childhood memories, anticipation, and calm at the end. An interesting peice, snow is a truly surreal subject. I would like to see a little bit more developement on the innocent, yet dangerous anspect of snow hinted at in the caved in roof comment.
