What you have described makes me think back on my marriage and how much hope I thought I'd wasted how much of myself I "sacrificed". The darker side of love is one that isn't given much praise but I have to say that your poem has so much meaning that it should be praised, to me, you described how hard it is to trust even oneself in a relationship. Love, can't be described but what you wrote I have to say would probably be part of the definition of what I would've thought if someone had ever asked me to describe my view on "Love" definately very inspiring...
