Wonderful summary of the different aspects of "courage." I agree with everything, especially that courage doesn't always roar. Heroes are always around us, and your article is a great reminder to look at the ordinary and maybe see the extraordinary right in front of our eyes. Thanks for sharing - God bless and stay safe my friend - Jay
Really enjoyed this. It is a reflection of the American spirit. With all the issues going on in our country today, I tell people - don't count Americans out. We always find a way. Like you wrote in this, we might worry, but in the end, Americans, for the most part will push on! Win or lose, America is still full of the brave and the bold! Thanks for sharing - Jay
I think you have captured the inner voice of many millions with this writing here. I know I have felt this way at times too. Very well done and congrats on the great insight into the human condition. "Hard Times Come Again No More," that old wonderful song from the days of the last century said so well! God bless - Jay
What a pleasure to visit for a time the images you have here and escape the trials of a world of stress and strife - hope you share the joy you give to others - blessings always, Jay
A wonderful summing up of the most important question in this life: "What is it that I truly believe?"
A breath of very fresh air and as soul stirring as anything I have read in a very long time.
My favorite verse is:
"I want continuous, conscious awareness of His Presence in my life."
How much would change in this world if most of us remained aware that stayed aware of God's presence!!!
God bless in the new year and thank you for sharing.
You have pulled of a very hard task in crafting a wonderful poem restricted to the letters of the month of September for the first words of each line. No space is wasted and the links to past memories adds nicely to it all. Very well done an a absolute pleasure to read - thanks for sharing - Jay
A very beautiful and descriptive poem. You have captured a great deal of detail in a very short space and allowed the reader to envision the shore-side you describe in the poem. Very, very well done indeed.
My favorite verse is:
"On a weathered bench, shore-side I lingered In a mist of cold and fog."
It rings with a sense of peace - thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest - Jay

Could not agree more with your poem! It seems these days anything goes and no one wants the responsibility that comes with the choices or decisions being made. I fear sooner, rather than later, this will all catch up to us collectively. But, I also believe God will have the final word will every soul, and woe to any who have earned His almighty wrath - thanks for sharing this wonderful reminder with us all - God bless, Jay
What a great tale told in a very few words!!! Friendship, betrayal, fear, false courage and greed - ain't that a story that could be told anytime in any land. Well done, storyteller, very well done.
Very precious picture with an even more precious message about the Savior - Christ The King! A great reminder of how Jesus began His effort for our redemption - thank you for sharing this inspiring and timeless image with all of here at WDC.
Wish you an wonderful Easter and GOD bless - Jaiam
Very well and very descriptive poem. Loved the contrast between Peter and Judas with one accepting forgiveness and one rejecting it and committing suicide in despair! Wow, what a contrast between two who had both walked and talked and believed in Jesus. My favorite lines are
"Difference made by choice,
truly, it does matter.
A Judas or Peter,
The choice is yours."
In the end, we really are all choosers with an eternal choice to make - thank you for sharing and have a wonderful Easter.
A truly beautiful depiction of a great family reunion. Perfectly timed and presented to reflect this blessed Easter Season. This is a wonderful read and quite uplifting and the last verse in by far my favorite. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this and good luck in the contest - Jaiam

Very beautiful and wonderfully flowing poem. I very much enjoyed this read. My favorite line:The tempest came; Now growing tame,
Glides gently by. 'Twill go asleep, In the deep, Of the sky.
Reminds me that even the worst of will pass with time. Well done and Happy Easter - Jaiam
As I mentioned earlier, this is exceptional writing. It places the reader into the environment and let's one experience the scenes through your eyes. Wonderfully done! Best of luck with getting it published, as it deserves to be shared with a wider group of readers - peace, Jay
