A well written story, placed me in the moment and almost in the room with characters. I felt as if the story was being told to me, it grabbed my heart and soul, and I felt your pain.
So sad that too many times this same situation happens to children, and follows them into adult life and more pain.
If this was your story, may God bless and walk with you, but if fiction, you have done a fantastic job of bringing this to real life living.
Too many times, things happen to us, and we punish ourselves, when in fact we have done nothing wrong.
This story was so sweet, well written making the reader feel the excitement, and happiness of the event. The story took me back to times in my life as a child. The panic of needing money for such a good cause, but learning how to gift love without spending money was the best lessons learned.
Life is hard growing up but this was really a stepping stone on the right road. It's amazing how much we can learn from children if we just take the time to listen to them.

Thank you for sharing this, it is truly beautiful. I felt like I was the actual person in this story, and can relate to it, as I just lost my wonderful sister-in-law to dementia. The last few days before she passed, I spoke to her, even though she didn't know me or could not respond back to me. I told her that I knew she was in there, and I prayed so hard for her to find the peace she needed.
I used to think that cancer was the worst illness to have, but dementia is the worst disease to watch a loved one endure. It slowly takes your memories away, and your brain stops giving directions to your body, and you die.
I admire any family or caretakers who watch their loved ones go on this journey.
This was written with great detail, and allows the reader to step inside for a personal trip.

I felt that this story was written well, good grammar, but most of all, told the life and times of a very dear friend. So sorry you lost Buster, but he left you with so many good memories to cherish. Since I love nature, I thought this was a feel good story. This is written really well, with a vivid picture of some of God's greatest creations. The words were written with
beautiful emotion, putting the reader in the forest, too.

What a beautiful poem, one that not only speaks the words, but paints a picture for the readers. This is well written, good grammar and spelling. The words flow easy, maybe from living it or the experience of working a ranch. Nothing like growing up on a farm or ranch, working hard, but at the end of the day, reaping the rewards. The air is clean and there is enough "quiet" to allow for dreaming or writing down whatever runs through your mind.
A farm or ranch leaves room for clean, pure living and the love of a family by your side.

This is a great story and I love dogs, too . My brother lives on a corner lot and takes in all the strays that seem to find their way to his house.
I think the word has gotten out that the "dog man" on the corner will take any you don't want or can't keep. Animals are such a joy and they bring
love and smiles to those who treat them kindly.

This caught my eye as I am an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables, so I had to read your work. I thought it was very good, and it sent a message that describes nature and all of it's beauty. This is very well written and expresses the fears and thoughts that most of us face from time to time. I like this style of poetry and the way it shows the problems of anxiety and trying to come to terms with it. I have not tried to write poetry, but this style flows and speaks easy, without the challenge of rhyming.

I don't usually read or like Sci-fi, but I found this very interesting and it held my attention all the way to the end of the story. I feel that there is more to be written, or should be, because it has a nice story line. There is suspense, with some twists and turns, and a touch of horror.
The form is well written and reminds me of an old "Twilight Zone" T.V. show.

I found this to be written with loving thoughts and it's easy to see why it is titled, for someone special. The words speak for your heart and you should be very proud of your writing talent. The technical things I observe, but saw no mistakes. I'm not a poet, but I do love to read the work of others. This poem would be one I would buy if written in a card or book, as the words would fit my love for my daughters or my mother, too. I can see why this won a contest, as it is really outstanding. Every word is true and should be practiced by everyone, everyday. It is so much easier to be positive and offer a smile instead of a negative, critical remark. Impulse thinking and being too quick to judge has caused many to have problems. When people stay in the negative zone, it is like having a dark cloud hang over their head, and projects to other people. Your poem is the perfect example of feelings from the heart, soul, and the Golden Rule.
