Ah, yes. The age old question of every modern Fire Emblem player. Whether to play Casual or Classic mode.
This one seems to take the approach of punishing the player for choosing Classic Mode. It begs the question how exactly did the player get this copy, where did it come from, how did it end up the way it did, presumably something went wrong in shipping, but that's my guess.
What I feel this story could have benefited from, if nothing else, is a more subtle psychological approach to horror, rather than outright coming off as talking the player down, like say... going against Risen, and briefly seeing a disfigured portrait of a fallen character when looking over the enemy. Little details like that can be spookier than bloody and gory imagery.
That being said, you have admitted you don't typically write creepypastas. I don't write them either, so I can't talk, but I do know what makes them work, just know that when I read a creepypasta, I at least typically don't expect masterpieces like "The Russian Sleep Experiment." This for what it was, wasn't a bad attempt, it just could have been more. But that's my ten cents.
