This piece really struck a chord with me. Like the author, I found myself asking why a certain group of veterans should be singled out and treated differently than all others. To deny these particular veterans the opportunity to receive compensation for service-connected diseases is nothing less than sweeping thousands upon thousands of brave servicemen under the carpet to be ignored. These proud servicemen risked their lives for their country. Can we not do better by them?
I found this to be so true of life. The writing and wording capture the reader's attention, and have a beautiful flow. A most original and thought provoking piece.
