Review of Mr. Tibbs  Open in new Window.
Rated: ASR | (4.5)
I had to read this through a few times. At first I thought the narrator and Mr. Tibbs were two homeless people who hadn't seen each other for a while. Mr Tibbs either doesn't recognise the narrator, or chooses to ignore him. But the narrator seems to have some affection for this character, shown by the fact that he's given him a name. I think the park bench may be part of an imagined world. Mr Tibbs represents the youthful imagination of the narrator. For Mr Tibbs to suddenly come back, it may suggest that the narrator has somehow got back in touch with his childhood.

At any rate, this is certainly a very interesting piece. It's great to read something that really makes you think. Well done!
