The memory of lost love.. It's no use keeping them any longer, but still they come back, as ghosts from the past, to haunt your isolation. The sight of her being happy with someone else is something which should not affect me, indeed I should be happy for her as she has found happiness somewhere else, which perhaps I could not give her. But it still drives a thorn through my heart, seeing as I could not get over her yet, and she has already moved on. I can understand your feelings. The sight itself is like the blade being pressed to the wound which had almost healed but is again opened up and fresh blood oozes out, as you so beautifully expressed in the poem. It's always a relief to let them go, so that you can go back to trying to forget her and bring peace into the tormented sleep. Really good work, keep writing..
A nice positive note rings in this short poem, urging the reader to stop daydreaming about what could have happened if he had taken a different course in his life. Instead he should focus on the present, shake off the lethargy and pursue the dreams of his life if he wishes his current wretched state of affairs to change. A really nice thought and I liked it, but this line could be written in a more straightforward way. I know you had perhaps, intended it to sound more poetic, but I feel that it mixes up the grammar a bit. So you could have written
A good perspective on the fast-paced and busy life of today, where we simply don't even take time out to look out through the window beside our workplace, if only to see the concrete jungle. It's very easy to lose focus of the bigger scheme of things and get entangled in the daily grind which saps our energy and leaves us dispirited and dull. It's high time we stopped and took note of things around us, and see how beautiful the world is which we inhabit. For us, whose world has diminished to the home, the road that leads to the workplace and the workplace itself, this poem holds special significance as it tells us that time is ticking away for one and for all. We need to cherish our lives for as long as we are here before it runs out. Good work, keep writing. Have a happy life..
