This story was truly amazing, continually presenting new, interesting concepts with just the right length and detail. The first part, dealing with a man coming into a world of technology that was constantly fluctuating around him, was interesting and honest, and I felt his exasperation, confusion and disbelief as he entered the frankly nonsensical world mankind is addicted too. This foreshadows the times ahead, and, while I expected it to be about how technology completely takes over mankind, it actually took a different, more unique and interesting turn- technology completely leaving mankind. You felt those sincere moments of confusion before all hell broke loose, and you felt their struggle for survival in the new age. Later on, each chapter introduced a solemn feeling, foreshadowing what was to come.
While this was an incredibly good story, it has it's albeit minor faults. One minor one I noticed early on was the random bits spread around- either nonsensical ramblings or jokes I'm too stupid to understand. Another thing I don't quite like was how the story starts with technology advancing to fast and screwing them over- and ends with technology advancing to fast and screwing them over.
